University College Cork - Research Opportunities in Functional Genomics of Microbial – Host Interactions

JOB DESCRIPTION: Molecular genetics will be employed to investigate the role of key regulatory pathways modulating pathogenesis, antibiotic resistance and microbial - host interactions in the human pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

REQUIREMENTS: Three positions are available:
1) Postdoctoral scientist: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant area of molecular genetics/molecular microbiology and have proven leadership qualities with good integration and communication skills.

2) Postgraduate student: Candidates should have a higher Honours degree in Microbiology or a related discipline.

3) Research Assistant: Candidates should have a higher Honours degree or MSc in Microbiology or a related discipline.
